Better Than an
Album Full of Photographs
Copies Can be Cast to Share
With the Rest of the Family
Hand Crafted in Fine Ceramic
or Bonded Bronze
The model for a portrait must be old enough and fit enough to sit for the numerous reference photographs and measurements that the sculptor must take. The whole sitting usually takes only one hour.
Absolute stillness is NOT necessary and many rest breaks can be taken. But willing cooperation is a MUST.
How Big Will The Portrait Be?
The portrait can be crafted at life size or smaller. You
will work with the sculptor to decide.

Step Two
Award winning sculptor Clare Sieffert will come to you, anywhere in the
continental USA to take the necessary reference photos and measurements.
Only one sitting of one hour is necessary.
Step Three
When the clay sculpture is finished, you will be sent
photos by email or snail mail for your approval.

Step Four
You choose a finish - faux bronze, faux stone, or any color you wish.
And you choose a base of wood, stone, or corian.
Step Five
The clay sculpture is fired into ceramic and the finish is applied.
It is mounted on its base, and shipped to you.
Optional Step Six
The original ceramic portrait can be molded and copies can be cast in ceramic,
or bonded bronze, an economical alternative to foundry-cast bronze.
Or, if you wish, we will help you choose a foundry to cast a copy in real bronze.
