A Single Person Can be Drawn as Both a Child and Adult in the Same Portrait!
A Beloved Pet Can be Drawn as a Young Animal and Adult in the Same Portrait!
Great Grandfather, Grandfather, Father and Son Can Be Drawn Together, Even After Passing Away!
• Portraits usually measure about 10 inches by 12 inches, including the background.
But the reference photo dictates the actual size and shape of a portrait.
• Pets are usually drawn approximately the same size as human subjects. But a small breed might look unnatural drawn at such an oversize. In that case I might draw the whole pet, rather than just his head.
• Individuals are usually drawn smaller in large group portraits
• I'll draw your portrait larger or smaller, or include more of the subject's body as you request and we will negotiate a custom price.
The reference photographs shown below were used to draw the combined portrait of the family on the left. The older son wanted his hair drawn longer; the daughter wanted her hair drawn darker; and the younger son was deceased.
