  ST Baltimore  is the last operational hand-fired coal-burning tugboat in North America.

  USS Enterprise (CVN-65) was the United States' first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. 

  Massachusetts Battleship Cove has 6 ships on display, one of which is the USS Massachusetts, plus miscellaneous war machines.

  USS Olympia was Admiral Dewey's flagship during the Spanish-American War. Built in 1895, the ship is on display and open for tours in Philadelphia, PA. Highly recommended.

  Hudson River Maritime Museum, dedicated to presenting the history of the Hudson River Valley, has a number of boats, models, paintings, etc. on display.

 Kyrenia Shipwreck Museum on Cyprus boasts the oldest trading ship and cargo (ca. 300 B.C.)

Gripsholm was the first tranatlantic motor ship. In WWII she was chartered as a repatriation ship. Excellent photos.

 The Gothenburg Maritime Museum bills itself as the largest in the World, with 14 ships, including a lightship, submarine and monitor. 

 Hellenic Maritime Museum in Piraeus, Greece has exhibits of model ships, World War II, Merchant Marine, and more.

Oregon Maritime Center and Museum in Portland, Oregon, has on display models, scrimshaw, instruments, etc.

Stad Amsterdam is a replica of a 19th century clipper ship, now under construction in the Netherlands. For text in English, click on the British flag.

The Treasures of Expedition Whydah, exploration of the remains of Captain Sam Bellamy's pirate ship which sank off Cape Cod in 1717. Whydah is the only documented pirate ship ever discovered.
