Sounds stop working in Entourage

If you can't hear the new mail/sent mail/reminder sounds in Entourage, first go to Entourage > Preferences (or Entourage > General Preferences in Entourage X), and then, under "General Preferences", click "Notification". Make sure that the appropriate sounds are checked, and click the speaker icon next to them to test your sound setup. If you don't hear anything, first make sure that your volume is turned up and that your speakers are configured properly. If you can hear sounds from other applications, but not the Entourage sounds, see this Apple Knowledge Base article for a resolution. If that fails and you have GarageBand, try opening and closing it.
