Journal Committee Members
HOGAR de Dallas has published a journal since it came into existence.
The content of HOGAR de Dallas journals is made up of personal stories, family lines, family trees, genealogy extracts, food
recipes, and queries contributed from the genealogy work of different individuals. Information published in the journals have
helped others who seem to be “stuck” or need to “fill in a gap”.

Greetings to all HOGAR members, "primas", "primos" and friends:
We are proud to announce the completion of our 300-page HOGAR 2007 Journal, and it
looks great. We extend our deepest appreciation and offer our special thanks to the many 'primos' and
friends who graciously submitted and unselfishly shared their family histories, stories, trees, photos
and their research and extraction work with HOGAR members and friends.
"El Cid Campeador", Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, is featured in several articles.The articles
contain El Cid's: Descendants; Ascendants; Story and Legend;wife's, Jimena Diaz, Ascendants; and a story
of one his American many famous
descendantss, George Washington, the first President of the United State. A photo
of El Cid is also included.
In addition, the 2007 HOGAR Journal has numerous excellent articles and works contributed
by twenty-one different individuals who presently reside in Mexico, and in the states of Arizona, California,
Colorado, Virginia, and Texas.
We are aware of the many hours the contributors have spent in their research efforts
and we greatly appreciate their contributions for publication. The data contributed will help our many
friends in their genealogy research and studies.
HOGAR members who pay their dues will receive their journals as part of membership. The Journal will
be available at the August conference in Nacogdoches.
Nonmembers will be able to obtain their copy for a $30.00 donation.
