Clients suffering with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) that struggle daily with Obsessions (urges) to fulfill their Compulsions (rituals) find that working with

Dr Winthrop allows them to feel truly understood with this sometimes confusing problem, for anyone not familiar with this concern and a language all it’s own.

If Addiction is your struggle, a 12 Step Approach can be utilized in your individual work in addition to attending 12 Step Meetings that address your particular needs.  But, as not all clients benefit from the 12 Step Model, alternative treatment can be provided.  The idea being that clients need individual treatment plans, and not a set rigid model for recovery.

Treatment Model:  An Eclectic approach in working with all clients including Eating Disorder clientele and those suffering with Obsessions/Addictions.  Each case needs to be evaluated on an individual basis.  What works for one client may not be the best fit for another.
