Why does my piano need regulation?

Pianos are primarily made of wood, felt and leather parts.  In time these parts will wear, compress and generally change shape.  Regulation is the adjustment of these parts to keep them all in the correct relationship to each other so the piano plays easily, smoothly, with control and a constant ' feel '.
Proper adjustments will also reduce wear on parts which will extend their life.  There are 2000 or more adjustemts possible for the 88 keys on a piano.  Each one important to keep the piano playing properly and smoothly.

You don't need to struggle with a piano that plays poorly.
Ask how a regulation can help you enjoy playing your piano !

What type of adjustments are done in a regulation?

1.  Eliminate wobbling keys
2.  Adjust key height so all keys are exactly the        same.
3.  Make adjustments so keys play smoothly
4.  Fix sticky keys
5.  Adjust mechanism so the keys have more ' control '.
6.  Make adjustments so all keys ' feel the same '.

These are just examples of a few types of things that a regulation would take care of.
