About the Temple Hill Slope Squadron
TEMPLE HILL SLOPE SQUADRON!

THSS Logo

How did we start?
The Temple Hill Slope Squadron was formed in November of 1998 by the guys that fly up on Temple Hill so we could not only have fun, but have some orginized fun. It was also formed to draw more people up on the hill, since the more people that fly, the more fun there is to be had.

What do we fly?
Our club consists of members interested in all forms of R/C soaring, from EPP Mini-Warbirds to the big scale gliders. Many of our members, besides being avid slope pilots, fly HLG, Electrics, Thermal Duration, and even that Aerotow stuff. As far as what we fly at the slope, we're mostly geared towards combat, but many of us enjoy different types of slope flying like PSS, Scale, and slope racing.

Club Events and Competitions
No events or competitions anymore. Back in the day we were able to have monthly fun-flies but "those were the good 'ole days." We did have and attended quite a few competitions which are shown in theCompetition Results section.

Come Fly With Us
We welcome everyone to come up and fly with us, from beginners to veterans. The hill has lift all over the place (when the wind is blowing, of course) so it never gets too crowded. We even have some people trying dynamic soaring off to the side of the main hill, if that's your cup of tea. In case you do decide to come visit our hill, here is a List of Frequencies that are "over-used" on the hill.

Competition Results:

Since the club officially started, quite a few of us have gone to various competitions to defend the honor of the THSS. As a tribute to how well our club members have done, here are the results of the competitions we attended.
