Welcome to Two Eyes magazine

Two Eyes is a lively collage of forms and genres, cultures and visions, with the voices in this first issue rooted in at least six different countries. The elements of the personal and the political mix in bold and intimate ways as each writer explores society and the self, and the back-and-forth relationship between the two.

To create art, to write essays, stories and poetry, to share a conversation or think about an unfamiliar opinion are all methods by which we struggle to understand and express life. These are important ways that we take up the challenge of being fully human in spite of the destructive forces in today's world.

Two Eyes provides a non-commercial space where writers can explore emotions and ideas and exchange them with others. It also includes work that is either out of print, largely inaccessible, or unknown to many outside certain areas, with the intention of helping to keep it alive and/or introduce it to those who may not otherwise come into contact with it. Additional elements include inspiring quotations, disturbing facts, and positive news about people striving for a better world.

The pieces contained herein are intelligent, principled and meaningful. We hope you find them both interesting and informative.
