It was with sadness I sent Duo to be a part of the Brialey Kennel in NSW Australia
because I would miss him
But it was a comfort to know that with Brian and Lesley he would live the life of a king.
And he did live what ended up being his last days instead of a full life being pampered and spoiled.
His passing leaves a hole in a heart that will not soon be filled.

.....

Duo was one of a litter of four red heads.

He proved himself as a show dog by finishing his Canadian Championship in two weekends of showing. Pointed out with limited showing in America Duo earned his first major by going Best of Variety over a special. His second major was more elusive but finally came finishing his American Championship. Judges have commented on his "Wonderful, well balanced outline with nice expression", "Excellant front", "Sound, strong movement", and saying he was a "Dog who could do the work".

Duo's forte wasn't in the show ring even with his Breed wins after two years of being in retirement. He was always at his best at home. Duo was the perfect gentleman, although you do have to watch your cup of coffee, especially if it had cream and sugar as he liked to sample it when he got the chance :) He exemplified the easy going nature of this breed. He was a great companion who liked to sit in the seat next to you when you drive and cuddle next to you at night.
and Puppies! Duo was mad about puppies. He'd race to visit them, he'd play with them, or just lay down and let them climb all over him.

Duo only ever sired 1 litter out of Am/Can/Intl CH. Tradewinds Speculation
