Equipment & Technology

We use a lot of old-fashioned, out-dated and antique equipment on our farm. Our primary tractor is a 1953 John Deere Model 70 (Seen below Baling Hay). Our grain drill is an old Oliver Superior Model 26 circa 1930-40's. We use old equipment because we can't afford to buy modern machinery, and it helps out on the budget. Plus antique machinery is fun and easy to work with, and believe it or not, mostly all the parts to keep them running are still available.

Some of the technology we use on the farm is more modern. Such as our computer, which allows us to communicate with other farmers, researchers, etc. from around the globe via e-mail. Also, it allows our customers and potential customers to gain information about our farm through this page on the World Wide Web. We also use our computer for accounting, printing business forms and labels, etc. Below are some of my favorite Internet links . . .
