This is my Personal/Professional Homepage.

Welcome to my research website.  My wife, Heather, and I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan where I teach physics at Grand Valley State University.  This website will describe my on-going research, and is here to inform my students as well as potential employers, which may include consulting clients, companies, and university faculties, of what they will get if they bring me on board.

Biography
I did my Physics and Math undergraduate studies at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI.  Then in Williamsburg, Virginia  I worked on my physics doctorate at the College of William and Mary.  After involvement with groups at Los Alamos National Lab, the University of Wuppertal (Germany) and the Naval Research Lab I finished my dissertation on microwave superconductivity in 1993.  Through a fellow grad student, I had become involved with a start-up company called Illinois Superconductor, Corp. and transitioned immediately from W&M to there in early 1994.   I endeavored to turn my research into commercial products (see www.iscointl.com), eventually climbing the ranks to Director of Engineering, overseeing a multidisciplinary group of scientists, engineers and technicians numbering nearly 20.  Always in the good graces of ISCO, I had the privilege of leading this team through the development of several of my own innovations.  Satisfied with this phase of life, in 2003 after 9 years, 2 months and 11 days I departed from ISCO and founded Agile Devices, Inc.   That is where I am now, and this web site attempts to narrate my current ambitions.
