The Summit Lake Pot Luck and Kayak Dunk this past Saturday, June 2nd
was a BLAST! Thanks to Sandi Braget for hosting the event at her
little hide-a-way on Summit Lake . Not sure how many people
showed up, but Sandi ’s lawn was full of kayaks when we weren’t out
paddling.
The weather was great and the water warm, so it couldn’t
have been better for the dunk. While others watched, some of us
practiced self-rescue techniques as well as assisted rescues – some
graceful some not, but we all survived. Because the weather was
so nice, several people without kayaks went in for a dip in the
lake. After the paddle and dunk we gathered around Sandi ’s
outdoor kitchen for drinks and food.
Thanks Sandi for hosting this event – it’s always a fun
time.
