Skihawks Christmas Dinner/Dance 2008
In the great tradition of
the Skihawks Christmas Celebrations,
our December 6th party was one more grand affair in our history of
outstanding social events.
Susan Wertz and Barb Dorn
wrought another décor gem bringing their usual, creative genius to bear at the
Fort Lewis Golf and Country Club. Each table, with white table covers and red
napkins had a beautiful center piece full of shimmering reds and greens. They
also set up a big chair with a real live Santa seated in front of our Skihawks banner where everyone could get a souvenir
photo. The whole scene was topped off with the theme of “Holiday Glitter” and
the ladies took it to heart with lots of shiny, glittering stuff to add to the
festive feel of the whole event.
Of course we had hors d’oeuvres,
wine and beer service, and an excellent buffet dinner with plenty of time for
socializing. Then the music began and the dance floor was packed the rest of
the night with our faithful D.J., Leon Crawford, keeping us rockin’ ‘n rollin’
till it was time to turn out the lights.
Naturally, we have already
made reservations for the same venue next year. See you there Saturday, December
5th, 2009!
