This page gives us the opportunity to introduce the pastor and school staff members.

Pastor Bob Grimm is a farm boy who loves the rural community of Alma, and the people who live there.  He has been a pastor at St. John since 1997, and wants the loves of Jesus Christ to make a difference!  His wife Gayle helps as a part-time aide at St. John School.

Mr. Orville Altevogt is a dedicated servant of God. He teaches science and math in the upper grades. He has been principal of St. John Lutheran School for more than 25 years, and is committed to bring Christ to the classroom and into every area of education at St. John.  His wife Sandy is also a teacher in the community.

Carmen Bloomfield is our Primary teacher, she loves little children, and has been blessed with teaching gifts to help them know they are always loved, even by a God they cannot see.  Her husband John teaches in Topeka.

Lisa Ochs is the elementary teacher, having grades 2 and 3 in her classroom.  She wants to be a blessing to the people of God, and her quiet demeanor and gentle spirit make her well suited to shape little lives with God’s love.  Her husband, Brian, is an architect.

Andrea White is the language arts teacher, among other things.  Her leadership skills enable her to deal with students in a way that wins them for a pursuit of excellence in education. Paul, her husband, is a director of Christian Education at Mt. Calvary in Wamego.

Barbara Theel (not pictured) is the church secretary and receptionist. She works in the church office from 9am till noon and from 1 till 3pm on Tuesday to Fridays. Phillip, her husband, is the custodian for St. John.
