Hello,
After looking at this site and reading the pretty dreadful reviews you may think this band must of sucked.
Well, amazing as it might seem, they didn't.
In fact Empire was a massive influence on the DC Punk scene of the mid eighties and beyond. Bands such as Minor Threat,
Faith, Embrace, Rites of Spring, Dag Nasty, Marginal Man, Government Issue, US Bombs (who covered 'Hot Seat') Henry Rollins
from Black Flag and Fugazi were just some who sing the praises of Empire.
So track this rare gem of an album down and make up your own mind.
That was the idea in the first place!
OUR REVIEWS:
Ever wonder what happened to the geezers who didn't split Generation X as soon as they did something worthwhile on account
of having been sacked beforehand. No?
On hearing this offering you were well justified. So's the name of their record label.

Empire ''Hot Seat'' (dinosaur discs)
Erstwhile Generation X pretty boys Mark Laff and Bob Andrews are the chaps behind this magnificently forgettable escapade.
The song has what might be described as a limited impact, but at least Andrews gets to run through an exhaustive repertoire
of guitar cliches.

Empire 'Hot Seat'
This act comprises of yet more Generation X cast-offs, Derwood and Laff: they simply grind it out, and are probably not
capable of anything else.
