The Main reed

The reed is as close as I could come to the actual blueman reed. It is a sheet of gum rubber rivited itnto the pipe. It is very durable and I believe it produces the most sound possible. We still always mic it for shows.

Second half

This is a pic of the reed for the second half. It is cardboard over a cutout in the pvc. This allows us to play on both parts at once without getting any pvc slapping sound.
