October 4, 2006  The Florida Wetlands ten covers  $30.00

SEMI-STAMP COVERS

October 4, 2006 The Florida Wetlands - Semi-stamp covers  11 covers $44.00
The Florida Wetlands souvenir sheet features 21 species of animals and plants.  Only ten of them are featured on stamps.  The other eleven are shown in the selvage about the stamps.  These 11 covers feature the eleven species not on stamps.  I got a first day postmark on the part of the selvage with the featured species in this manner.  I placed that part of the selvage with the featured species together with the postage stamp that appeared nearest to it on the sheet.  Thus there is a stamp AND the piece of the selvage with the featured species.  In the picture above the Egret (in selvage) has received a first day postmark together with the crocodile stamp.  There are 11 different covers in this manner.  You may be more dexterous than I but I found it difficult and quite time consuming to do this   Also, of course, it takes two souvenir sheets to produce one of these sets.

October 5, 2006 Snowflakes  One cover $7.00
This has a bock of the four stamps in the upper right corner getting one of the postmarks and another block of the four stamps in the upper left corner getting the other postmark.
