Custom Wings

Custom Cutting is done on a "time available" basis. Call or email for a cost and delivery estimate. If you want to get something custom cut, it helps immensely if you have computer files describing the wing. For best results draw each airfoil as a "polyline" and save the drawing in DXF format.  If you already have a custom wing set up with the Core House, we will continue to cut it.  It typically takes a half hour or so to set up a single airfoil.  A typical, double-tapered pattern style, solid wing  will cost ~$30 to set up.  Setting up a complex, hollow wing, such as the Giles, to strictly match a particular plane will cost in the range of $60.

Some pratical limits to how big a wing we can cut- Four inch foam is our stock size. The core has to fit in one of our standard shipping boxes, so 24 and 36 inches are the standard maximum length. We can cut panels as large as 22chord x 6thick x ~60 in. span on the large cutter, or 16 in. chord  x 6 in. thick x ~31in. span on the small cutter.
