2009 SCHOLARSHIPS

APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNTIL OCTOBER 1, 2008

 

Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego and Filipino-American Lawyers of San Diego will grant at least four scholarships to eligible individuals to take the California State Bar examination in February 2009 or July 2009. The scholarship amount will assist in covering the cost of the Bar Exam.

Eligible individuals must:

1)   meet the requirements for taking and will be taking the California State Bar exam given in February 2009 or July 2009; and

2)   currently attend or have graduated from any accredited law school in San Diego County.

 

Selection factors include but are not limited to:

§        financial need;

§        scholastic/academic standing;

§        past, current or future public service to the Asian/Pacific Islander community and other diverse communities.

Scholarship applications will not be accepted until October, 1, 2008

 

Scholarship recipients will be honored at the 2009 Annual Dinner.   Scholarship recipients MUST attend the Friday, January 30, 2009 Annual Dinner to receive the scholarship.

The scholarship amount varies each year, depending on the amount available from member contributions.  These scholarships will assist with the costs of the California Bar Exam, and are made possible through the donations of attorneys and concerned individuals in the San Diego API community.
