APIA Vote National Presidential Town Hall

APIAVote is organizing a National Presidential Town Hall to take place May 17, 2008 in Irvine California where Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator Barack Obama and Senator John McCain will have their first opportunity to address the AAPI community on a national level about our priorities for the next White House administration.  APIAVote is a national nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that encourages and promotes civic participation of Asian Pacific Islander Americans in the electoral and public policy processes at the national, state and local levels.  The Town Hall is expected to draw an audience of 2,500 community leaders, elected officials, voters, and students from across the country. Only by promoting participation of AAPI’s in the electoral process and having an attendance of this magnitude at the Town Hall will elected officials listen to our concerns. We encourage all members of the AAPI community to attend this event, coordinate rideshares and to register online at www.apiavote.org.  There are plenty of tickets available for now, but they are on a first come first serve basis.  Everyone must register to be allocated a FREE ticket and seat.
