FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Friends,
Thank you to everyone who came to the October meeting and painted boxes for
Kids R First. This is such a worth-while program and I am happy to see that for
the sixth year in a row, PCDP will be able to fill a need right here in Flagler County. A special thank you, to Georgia Strein, for volunteering to
temporarily store the painted boxes that were collected at our Oct. meeting. Also a great big thank you to Joanne Tibbils’s
and her daughter Sheryl Vitkauskas, who once again were able to get Lego’s for the boxes directly from Lego Inc, YEAH, WAY TO GO LADIES!
Many lovely painted items were donated to the Annual Coastal Gala Silent Auction
which will benefit Florida Hospital Cancer Institute. It is wonderful that our
members are so willing to generously share their time, efforts, and talents to assist in raising funds for organization which
will benefit our entire community.
Generosity seems to be a trait of many of our members, as several of our members
have volunteered to share their knowledge and teach in 2009. I am currently working on building our workshop calendar with the member/teachers that you selected at our
October meeting. As soon as our calendar for 2009 is set, I will share the information with you.
The year is winding down, but we still have lots to do. First of all, if you haven’t signed up for the November workshop, there is still time, just mail
your registration and check today. Also November is our election month, so don’t
forget to come to the Nov. business meeting to cast your ballot. Keep in mind,
your annual SDP and PCDP Dues are now due, so please get that taken care of today. Are
you planning on taking the Kathie George Seminar that will be held Feb 6 and 7? If
so, get your registration and check to me asap. Kathie is a wonderful teacher
and since space is limited, be sure to register for this class early. Have I
tired you out just by reminding you of all there still is to do? Well then you
are going to want to kick back and relax, so make plans to attend our annual Holiday Party at Halifax Plantation on Saturday,
Dec. 6.
I’ll see you at our November meeting.
Happy Painting!
Letitia
