Rudy Behlmer (Editor) The Adventures of Robin Hood: The Screenplay Madison: Published for the Wisconsin Center for Film and Theater Research by the University of Wisconsin Press, 1979; (Wisconsin/Warner Bros. screenplay series) 235 pages ISBN: HC: 0299079406 PB: 0299079449 Edited and with introduction by Rudy Behlmer Foreward by Tino Balio The screenplay of the 1938 Warners Brothers film starring Errol Flynn, written by N. R. Raine and S. I. Miller. The introduction gives an overview of developing the script, plot, and filming of the movie. The script is the final draft, although slightly different in minor places from the film itself as changes were made while filming was being done. For example, the script includes dialouge between Guy and Robin during the climatic duel -- in the movie, they have at each other without a word. Also included is the script for an opening scene which has Robin and Guy jousting against each other at a tournament. This scene was dropped and never filmed.
