Aaron was born 30 March 1822 in Washington County, Maryland He served in the Mexican War in the 11th Infantry, Pennslvania Regiment He then served as a Private in the Civil War in the 125th OVI, Company F Was wounded while on picket duty in April 1863 and discharged at Nashville, Tennessee Was a farmer and lived in Mt. Vernon, Knox County, Ohio He married Catherine Jane Shafer May 27, 1851, they had 8 children, 2 sons and 6 daughters Died of Heart Trouble at the Soldiers Home in Dayton, Ohio and is buried at the Dayton National Cemetary.
