People protect themselves
from poetry
by laughing at poets;
sneering at sincerity.
Only-seeking-me-through-you eyes
turn slowly from the pure act of questioning.
Man and Woman...hating what they love.
But this is not poetry. This is a scold.
In the end what counts is this:
What do you believe is beautiful
and how do you feel about witnessing its destruction?
The dead angel said two things -
1. Cruelty does not exist. It is only the difference between how you treat others and how they treat you.
The other thing she said was:
"Sorry is not magic."
