Replacing Stanchions and Adding Winches
The original stanchions were somewhat on the short side for safety offshore and they were bent at the gates as the braces were placed too low.  For replacements I installed 1.25 x 32",thick wall tubing (.085"), Hylas stanchions.
 
Large self tailing winches are being added either side of the helm station to ease single handing as well as on the cabin trunk to accommodate a loose footed staysail and the mainsheet.
