PROGRESS REPORTS:
GENERAL
INTRODUCTION
This page contains a list
of posts which contain "progress reports" about heavy metal chelation.
Most are reports on children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (autism; aspergers;
PDD; etc.). A few are about adults (as noted).
I started collecting progress reports because they move me, inspire me, and give me hope: for myself, for these children, and for recovery in general. Over the first months I began collecting them, I also had time to reflect on the commonly voiced desire for information about the results of chelation. Statistics are extremely limited. There are no studies. But, there are stories: personal descriptions of personally observed results, as reported by people who where there, and to whom it matters deeply. Stories contain details of real people that can be very powerful. In this case, the people involved have gone through much personal effort in order to undertake chelation. The title "love letters" is my personal name for the amazing stories that show up on the list. Reading these stories over the period of many months has lead me to conclude that chelation results in "significant progress" for many children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. To me this is not a theory or a possibility, it is an observable reality, a fact. I observe it through the lens of these stories. I also like the name "love letters" because it makes it very clear that this is not clinical, objective or unemotional material. This is not a study: it is people writing about their lives, often sharing their joy.
How it goes with chelation is that often the progress is slow and steady, rather than some giant dramatic change all at once. Usually it is a series of smaller changes -- each remarkable -- but cumulatively much more significant. A common pattern is to see some improvement with each "round" (or course) or chelation treatment, with some mild regressions also along the way. To greatly oversimplify, it is a "two steps forward, one step back" sort of progress, with ups and downs.... and landing at a HIGHER plateau after the "downs". The posts in for each person are sorted by DATE, with the earliest posts first. This should help you to follow a given person's story line, if you want to.
I do not claim that these particular posts are "objective" or reflect anything scientific. Quite the contrary: this is about as subjective as it comes. No claims of completeness, fairness, or anything else are made or implied. The criteria for including a message in this list (or for excluding it) are also subjective, and no claims are made about that, either. (Some posts may be missing due to oversights, too.) For the most part, these posts have been selected BECAUSE they are positive. This is NOT a representative or statistically average sample. The information is real, but, like any data, you are responsible for any interpretations you make. Like all information posted on this list, this is not medical advice. In fact, it is not advice at all. It is just a list of links to posts on the list.
MANY of the "progress reports" are contained as side notes in a post that is mainly intended as a comment or question about something else. These posts are part of an on-going conversation about a much larger topic than "progress". This mans that there are often other topics being discussed. The main purpose of the post need not be "to report status" in order for it to be included here. Some of the posts have only a slight mention of positive results, in others it is the main content. The content need not be exclusively positive. A few are negative reports. Many posts have a lot of content and commentary that is not about "results". Again, these posts are part of a larger discussion. I have pulled them out of that context to include them here. Regardless of what else they say, they were selected to be included here because of the content that is about "results". Inclusion does not in any way imply agreement or disagreement with any commentary that is included.
Best
wishes to all who undertake this adventure. Here are some
reports from those who are already somewhere along the way. I hope
they help!

this is a long post and it is difficult to distinguish what Amy is saying
from the text she is responding to. The "progress" part is about 1/3 way
down, and is short relative to the whole post. She talks about a child
she saw in a video, and then her own child.
