If you get a beer or two into anyone who worked on Jacks Or Better, I’m sure you’ll get an earful of stories – but not the usual tales of disaster and mayhem. We shot a 102-page film in twelve, twelve-hour days, and we did it by following all the rules. We didn’t lie, we didn’t cheat, we didn’t steal, and we did it for about the same money as that witch movie. So if you’d like to hear about the Memorial Day barbecue, with the DP running out during set-ups to turn the meat, or the 22-page day, with full coverage of a five-person scene, or the 16-page day when the power cables shorted out and cost us three hours – then buy us an Ale at the Wasatch Brew Pub, and we’ll tell ya all about it. Click here if you want to make the short story long.
