The Fabulous Planktones were formed in Glendale California in 1984 by guitarists Marty , Kevin and Jim Tippens and drummer Art Chianello. The band played the So Cal area in the mid ‘80’s and then disbanded while Art and Marty went off to finish their degrees. The Planktones reformed in 1997 adding Jon Green on bass and have been playing clubs and recording. An album called "Surfin' at the Sinbad" was released in October 2001 on El Toro records.
