We are the melting pot of the world. 

Our country continues to be made up of people from all areas of the world. There is no need for that to change. But what must change is the manner in which they come to our country.

We accept all people from all nations who seek to live the life of freedom and democracy that America offers. We ask only that you come to our great land in a manner that is legal via the normal immigration process.

In this day of terrorism and the increased need to protect ourselves, we should consider protecting our borders from those who would come to our land illegally with the intent to harm us. Our borders are porous enough to allow just about anyone to pass through undetected. We need to correct this as soon as is physically possible.

I will start the Secure America’s Border project. It will build a twenty foot tall concrete wall topped with cantina barbed wire. It will be built along our borders between the U.S. and Mexico and Canada. It will use prison labor to build it along with workers from poor families who need work.

The minimum security prisoners of our prison systems will be offered the opportunity to reduce their sentences by 50% if they volunteer to work on this project. No prisoners who were sentenced for murder will be included. No prisoners will be forced to work on this project if they do not volunteer.

There will be control and observation towers strategically placed along the wall. They will be manned by soldiers from the National Guard and equipped with the most sophisticated technology to detect and prevent any attempts to breach this barrier.

This project will take years to complete and will provide a source of jobs and revenue for the communities that it is located near.

Only when we secure our borders in this manner will we be able to prevent people from illegally entering our country with the intent to take our jobs or harm our citizens.
