WINDOWS MOVIE
MAKER
Windows XP, like the previous version of Windows (I am
talking about Millenium Edition), has a built-in Movie
Maker program. It has capabilities for importing clips in
a variety of multimedia formats, adding sounds or
narration, and using a number of transition effects
between scenes. The movies are created as a .wmv file,
which is playable by any version of Windows Media Player
from 7.0 on. To create the movie, you drag clips around
in a workspace at the bottom of the Movie Player window,
in either Storyboard or Timeline view.
The site below has a number of links to the general topic
of Windows XP Movie Maker, for example:
- download the latest version of Movie Maker
- watch videos of it in operation
- read How To articles.
