"Today, we have looked over a world wide web site devoted to the men of the 8th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. This site is worthy of any and all Civil War site awards. The display of letters from men who served in many of the Eastern Campaigns including Gettysburg attest to the valor and hardships that were commonplace. The 8th Georgia is rich in the history, rosters, writings, photos, flags of the regiment -- to mention but a few. Justice to the men of the 8th Georgia is done by a wonderful gentleman, Mr. Dave Larson, the webmaster. The deeds of valor of men at war need to be kept in the forefront of our memories -- lest we forget their deeds and do them a severe injustice.
