Though we do not breed for color...the last two years have been very "white"!
Our herd consists of primarily minimal to no white Morgans, but they are sabinos...and sometimes a recessive gene lines up
with another recessive, and BAM!!! You get lots of white. For us, the last three foals have all lined up recessive. While
we do think they are pretty (not that we are partial), we breed for temperment, conformation, and way of going. IF chrome
is on the package, then it is icing on the cake...but as everyone knows, without the right ingredients in the cake, the cake
will fail; no matter how flashy it is. We believe our foals have all the right "ingredients" to be outstanding sport horses,
and we think you will too.
Hassayampa Sport Morgans was founded in 1983 when a bright eyed 13 year old girl named Kathleen met a
bright eyed 7 year old Morgan mare named Hassayampa (Mad River Aladdin x Mikkes Mariah). Twenty-four years later we are
still together. Over the course of the last twenty-four years we have had many adventures in the open Hunter/Jumper arena.
We began breeding for Sport Morgans back in 1985, and are now focused on our third and fourth generation of "A" curcuit Hunter/Jumper
quality foals.
We are a small breeder, usually only producing one or two foals a year.
We currently have many fine sport horses and prospects available.
The sales page was updated on October 1, 2007 to include some outstanding, ready to show geldings and some of the best foals
we have had to date.
