Inlet

It is about one mile down Bear Creek to the Intracoastal Waterway. There was a huge flock of egrets along the waterway. We went west on the ICW for 3 more miles and turned south into the first channel to Browns Inlet. The trip out was about 4 1/2 miles We left at 9:30 and were there at the Inlet at about 11:00.

View of the eastern end of Onslow Beach …...our destination

Brown Island is being cleared of all large metal objects which apparently are what is left of targets used by the Marines over the years. This island is just across the inlet from our destination. We stopped and talked to the crew.
