Ideally this Seidh healing journey should be done with a CD or tape playing ocean surf sounds. Estimate about 30 minutes.

Everyone get in a comfortable position. *** wait for people to do so *** Before we begin.  Know that you are in total and complete control at all times. If for any reason at any time during this journey you would need to stop *** you could simply open your eyes. *** So if something you have to take care of happens, the moment you open your eyes you would be refreshed and alert. *** Knowing that now, ** look at this time as a very special time that you have set aside for yourself.  A time to do some special things to use your mind in a way that can be helpful to you. ***

 Breathe in 2 *** 3 *** 4 *** and out *** 2 *** 3 *** 4 *** breath in 2 *** 3*** 4 *** and out 2 *** 3 *** 4 *** As you listen to my voice now *** The relaxation response begins to come over the body with each breath.  Each time you hear the sounds of surf you focus and relax more and more.  As this happens ** close your eyes.  I would like you to think for a moment of an experience you've had on the beach in your minds eye. *** Allow yourself to re-experience the feeling of being on the beach in your subconscious mind. *** Allow yourself to sense ** and to feel. *** As you walk on the beach you remember how the sand feels.  It is pleasantly warm, ** soothing, ** relaxing ** and comfortable.  You can see the waves come on to the beach and hear the sounds of the surf. The sky is slightly overcast and you feel a breeze every so often from the lake.  Every time you hear me say the word concentrate you relax, each time becoming more comfortable.

     You see a sturdy box on the beach with a heavy lid. You're curious about whats inside the box and lift the lid. Under the lid you see a sign.  It says place all your fears, worries and concerns inside me and shut the lid. You are safe on this beach and no harm will come to you. Everything you place inside me will only get in your way if you don't. Once you have placed your fears in me pick out a spot in the sand near the coastline and enjoy a nice nap.

You decide it sounds like a good idea, so you place your worries and fears in the box and find a nice comfortable spot in the sand to lay down on. *** As you lay down you become comfortably warm and feel a breeze coming off the lake. *** You listen to the sounds of the surf. *** 

*** CONCENTRATE ***  Continue to allow yourself to relax to a more comfortable and deeper level. *** Comfortably, ** deeply, ** thoroughly relaxed. ** A wonderful ** wonderful feeling. ** A pleasant ** and comfortable feeling. You continue to relax so comfortably and so deeply.

As you breathe ** you remember that your not in any danger. ** It does not bother you that the bottoms of your feet are getting wet. *** As the water surrounds your feet they become relaxed and buoyant. They become one with the water. *** With each breath the water continues to move up the body and each section of the body becomes buoyant and one with the water.   Breath in 2 *** 3 *** 4 and out *** 2 *** 3 *** 4. *** In 2 *** 3 *** 4 *** and out 2 *** 3 *** 4 *** CONCENTRATE *** 

Take moment and just think about your right arm or your left arm *** either one. *** Your right arm or your left arm. *** Think about that arm being in the water and the water allowing that arm to feel very buoyant. ***  Imagine a string tied to your wrist with 100 helium filled balloons.

Without a great deal of effort ** that arm you've selected just slowly, ** comfortably and easily floats upward in the water. ** You can sense ** and feel that. As you listen to my voice you experience that floating sensation.  *** CONCENTRATE ***  Now Imagine that the string tied to your wrist has 1000 helium filled balloons. 

 *** Don't be suprised if that arm you've selected slowly but surely floats above the water.  Feeling that kind of floatingness as you think about the buoyancy of that arm and hand in the water.  That may not happen every time we do this journey.   But if that does happens it is perfectly all right. ** It is just your mind and body working together they are allowing you to experience this special time. *** The arm feels so light and so buoyant ** so floating. *** As you continue to relax deeper and deeper ** and deeper. ***  The balloons slowly lower the arm back into the water and as the string slips away from your wrist the arm floats effortlessly with the rest of your body.   *** CONCENTRATE ***

I will count backwards from 7 to 0. With each number ** you allow yourself to relax to an even deeper and deeper level of comfort and relaxation. *** 7 a wonderful pleasant and comfortable feeling. *** 6 *** and 5 and in addition to that marvelous muscular relaxation you can also begin to feel now an internal relaxation. *** CONCENTRATE *** 4 *** A peaceful calm tranquil and comfortable feeling. *** 3 The body continuing to feel light and floating. *** and 2 almost totally almost completely ** 1 just a little deeper ** and zero. *** Deeply *** Deeply *** Relaxed. *** Your subconscious mind is such a strong and powerful part of you. It can help you and assist you in regulating any discomfort that you may feel.

Think about a built in switch.  Now this switch is yours.  It can be used in any way.  It can be just a thought.  It does not have to be an image of a switch utilizing those creative thought process *** to see yourself turning down further and further any level of discomfort.  It is like a color becoming a very soft *** soft shade of that color. A blue down to a powder blue *** or a red perhaps down to a pink.*** All the way down to a white. *** Utilizing your subconscious mind in a creative way to allow any discomfort to become less and less.  And the subconscious mind learns in a variety of ways.  Allow yourself to relax just as deeply as you would like.  ***CONCENTRATE***

Letting go, *** Relaxing deeper and deeper, *** Deeper and deeper. As you continue to relax deeper and deeper you soon realize that your body is floating and moving with the current because every so often a blade of grass scrapes against your back and it reminds you that the water is not deep.

The current carries you into a creek with trees on both sides. *** At first the trees are scattered, but as your body gently floats down stream the trees become closer and taller ** down and around ** down and around **. They grow closer and closer and higher and higher ** down and around **. At last you see a bridge with the figure of a man. The current takes you to the bridge and you see that he is dressed in white and recognize him as Heimdall. He waves as you pass under the bridge, because he knows why you are here.

The creek continues and you begin to see a large tree. *** It is named Yggdrasil. *** In its branches lay the worlds of both gods and humans. *** The creek empties you into a well of silvery water. *** Anything that happens from within the Worlds, appear as drops of water that fall like silvery drops of dew into the Well your in. *** You instinctively know that you are in the Well of Wyrd. ***

 At the tree you see three beings. ** You may have seen them before. They are called the Norn Sisters. ** Their names are Urdh, Verdhandi and Skuld. Urdh is what has become.  Verdhandi is that which is becoming, and Skuld is that which should become. The Norns tend the waters of the Well. They set our fate and water the Tree with the waters of the Well.  The actions of our past drip down and mix with the water of the well. The well feeds the tree and the tree is always changing.  Our potential future fluxes as does the tree. The cycle is clear *** what has been *** to that which could become *** it is the Flow of Wyrd.

The Norns have invited you to spend some time with them. To reflect on what you have done and, what needs to be done and what will be done. Enjoy your time with them. I will let you know when it is time to continue. *pause for 3 - 5 minutes*

Skuld approaches you and says "Thank you for your deposit into my box. *** I have taken something from the box that is keeping you from achieving a goal. *** I will not tell you what I have taken for that is for you to discover in another place". *** A feeling of comfort overwhelms you as he speaks, because you know that she has not harmed, ** but helped you. *** The Norns tell you that you may return whenever you want. They now begin to stir water in the well. As they do, the current changes and you float out of the Well of the Wyrd.

You float to the bridge and once again Heimdall waves as you pass under. The trees are close and high, but as you continue up the creek they grow farther apart and shorter. The current carries you out of the creek and back onto the beach. The water gently puts you back in the place you started and goes back into the lake. A sense of comfort overwhelms you as you realize your time as you awake from your nap, but your eyes remain closed. You instinctively know where the box is and even though you don't want to lift the lid your curiosity gets the best of you because you want to know what Skuld kept.

All the sensation in the body coming back to a pleasant comfortable level. Whatever feelings of floatingness you have being to dissipate. *** I'm going to count from 1 to 5. When you open your eyes you will be completely and completely alert. 1 *** 2 *** slowly comfortably easily now. 3 *** and each time we do this journey allowing yourself to relax to the deepest level *** 4 *** almost totally alert now and 5. Opening your eyes completely, completely alert.
