Space Patrol was Broadcast over the ABC Radio Network on Saturday mornings, though it did switch to Friday evenings for a short while.  Like the television show the program was sponsored by Ralston, though Nestles came in as alternate weeks sponsor beginning October 2, 1954.   (Please note that we are just guessing at many of the proper names mentioned in the episodes that we listened to, spelling them phonetically from the way they sound on the air.)(It is also worth mentioning that the actors listed above often played alternate parts in the series, sometimes disguising their voices so that they did not always sound the same.  This seemed to have also been   done to a lesser extent on the Tom Corbett, Space Cadet radio series.)

ABC Radio series: : September 18, 1950 - January 8, 1951:  Monday's and Fridays at 5:30 p.m.
                               August 18, 1951 - September 29, 1951: Saturdays 7:30 a.m.
                               October 7, 1951 - March 19, 1955 Saturdays 10:30 a.m.

** Programs highlighted in bold type are available in various formats, including MP3, and audio cassette.

It should be noted here that the last Saturday television episode of SPACE PATROL was on February 26, 1955.

Another item of interest is that the A.F.R.S. broadcast of this show were not played in the same order, and the episodes I listened to edited out cast and production credits. As an example the episode of 8/8/53 announces that the next episode will be the one broadcast on 2/12/55. Commercials of course where also cut out, but I found it strange that the titles of the episode were also excluded.

*PLEASE NOTE:  Most of the episodes listed below are only sketched in, I have taken copious notes for each episode, and these will be filled in with episode descriptions at a later date.                                                                                                                                                     Joe Sarno

THE HOLE IN EMPTY SPACE  by Lou Huston                                            October 25, 1952

Space Patrol Lt. Grayson reports seeing a meteor disappear in Space and Commander Corry is about to give the Lt. a Brainograph test to verify his observation when Cadet Happy reports that a robot Space Freighter has also vanished in the same vicinity.  The trio blast off to check out the area and discover a hole in space, which Professor Jelka determines is a Psychoplex (cycleplex) (something like a cross between a black hole and a wormhole?).  The hole swallows up everything in its path and is headed for Mars and Commander Corry must figure out a way to destroy the space phenomena using something known as Huddleston’s Ring phenomena.  (A very science-oriented episode.)
