Jack D. Wilson is the author of Phoenix & Consolidated Art Glass: 1926-1980 and was an advisor to Schroeder's Antiques Price Guide for both Phoenix and Consolidated glass for many years. He founded the Phoenix & Consolidated Glass Collectors' Club and served as Newsletter Editor for the first three years. He has 36 years of experience in the Information Technology industry and collecting this glass was a counterpoint to that high technology work, an example of the "high tech, high touch" trend identified by Toffler in Megatrends. He is currently working on a book about Muncie pottery (for more on that see the Muncie Pottery link, below.)

What you will find here:

Information about the art glass produced by Consolidated Glass Company (starting in 1926) and the Phoenix Glass Company (starting in 1932). The early Consolidated Glass designs were influenced by the work of Rene Lalique; however, later designs such, as their famous Ruba Rombic were American originals. You will also find information on related production at Kopp Glass Company (the Kopp Modernistic line) as well as Muncie Pottery Company. Contents include:

My wanted list (Ruba Rombic, Muncie Pottery, Warwick, Catalogs, etc.)

I have finally decided to downsize my collection and plan to dispose of approximately 500 pieces this year. I am selecting the pieces I will be getting rid of and that will be done in various ways. I will have a website with items for sale (both individual pieces and dealer lots). See http://glass.wilsoncollection.net/. For those without access to the Internet I will have a listing of pieces available. Some pieces will be donated to museums.  And 50 to 100 pieces will be going to the 2006 PCGCC club auction. The pieces in the auction will be a combination of donated pieces (club will get all proceeds from these) and consigned pieces. Lists of items available are expected to be ready in late–March. To give you a flavor of what to expect, on page 37 of my book I mention my interview of Paul Angelo in 1981. I purchased his collection of 49 pieces of Dancing Nymph tableware in French Crystal.
