Sadly, I got news today that Rob Donnelly was killed in a tragic flash flood while camping in the Chimanimani some 4 to 5 years ago.  Thanks to Chris Oliver for providing this info in response to a request, via this website, to locate Rob.  The "We Remember" Page has been updated.  Does anyone have a photo for the appropriate photo album?  (June 14, 2009)
 
The photo of Des Mooney from the funeral sheet and the funeral sheet itself have been added to the "We Remember" photo album (available to members).  Many thanks to Frank Kennerley for sendng this to me.  The previous photo has been removed as the funeral sheet image is a is a much clearer one.  (June 11, 2009)

Thanks to Frank Kennerley, I can now give you details of Des' funeral arrangements.  The funeral will be on Monday 8th June at 2pm at the chapel in the Fourways Memorial Gardens in Craighaven, 4-way's, Johannesburg.  A convoy will then move on to Picolino's at the Rustic Timber Center on Witkoppen Road about 5 km from the Memorial Park to have a wake and to celebrate Des' life.  You can get directions to Picolino's by callng 011 467-0615.  If anyone needs a map, please email the webmaster and I'll send one.  If anyone would like send any kind words about Des, please send them to the webmaster and they will appear on the "We Remember, Part 2" Page.  You may also send a few words to be read at the funeral directly to Frank Kennerley or via the webmaster.  (June 3, 2009)
 
Sadly, I have to report that Des Mooney passed away on Monday, June 1st.  I will post the funeral arrangements if I receive them in time.  I would appreciate it if someone would send me a photo of Des for the "We Remember" photo album.  (June 2, 2009)

"This is one of my best pictures that I took in LM. Under the title “Rockista”  I entered and had it accepted in National Photographic Salons both in South Africa and in Zambia, and achieved “Highly Commended” awards in regional Salons in Ndola and on the Copperbelt. If memory serves me right it was also entered for a Salon in Niagra Falls in the USA and was accepted. So altogether a most satisfying photo".
