Bougainvillea bonsai- Grow in full to partial sun
Water every day or two, depending on size and age of individual plant.
Fertilize once or twice a week. Bougis flower on a ten to twelve week cycle, year round. When flowers fade and turn papery, cut back
flowering branch 4 to 6 inches. When new shoots grow to about 4 to 6 in. in length, pinch the growing tip. This will discourage
long, rank growth and promote the next flowering cycle. Protect from a freeze. Root prune once a year. Take the
plant out of the pot and cut 2 to 3 in. off the bottom of the root. Replace the potting soil and repot Bougi. This can
be done at any time of year.
