We did not need the inner 18" of the 26" diameter polar disk with
the
conical polar axle. We cut inner 18" of the disk out and used it to
build
the torque tube shown here. The upper portion of the tube was found in
the scrap yard.

The Declination bearing housing is made form a piece of the 4" tubing
bought for the 22" Dec axle.

The torque tube mount uses a similar arrangement for the north polar
bearing as the 22".
