Hi-Yo Silver Away...
Silver Streak Camper
Vintage Trailer Links

For very special occasions or the lucky few who have been able to use our trailer as our "guest house" I make sure to put her into "full display mode" with our growing collection of vintage cowboy/western memorabilia....
"Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear..."

Welcome...come on in!

As usual, all the pic's should (small disclaimer) be clickable to open larger for better viewing...

This upper shelf showcases our Roy Rogers thermos, Dale Evan children's book, Lone Ranger mini lunch box, Ponderosa tin cup, an original Silver Streak brochure & Trailer Life magazine plus a few other goodies. Around the original clock is a bolo tie with a silver gun & holster...it is blanaced nicely below with some western dinner plates, vintage aluminum salt & pepper shaker, reproduction radio (in turquoise of course!) & a Pop Shop soda bottle from the 1960/70's as a flower vase.

The kitchen is a perfect place for our Lone Ranger cheerios box, Scooby Doo paper towels (ok, so he's not western, but he's cute!), thermos, flashlight, "eat, ride sleep" mugs & Papa Bear & Baby Bear coffee pots..all aluminum. The oven hood is a great place for the magnets of places our girl has been to be displayed since the fridge is not magnetic! The little green trailer hanging at the propane light was a surprise gift from the Cowboy Christmas show in Vegas!

bedroom.jpg

The bedroom with "almost" matching chenille vintage bed spreads...it is truly a special occasion when these are out on display!

bed1.jpg

This bedspread has been in the family since about the 1960's & was purchased new by my husbands grandmother for an older brother. The light shade makes a good hat holder & the shelves hold vintage western paper backs & the must have "Woody" from Toy Story.

bed2.jpg

This spread was a lucky find on Ebay..it's not quite an exact match but from the same era. These shelves hold a vintage hardback book I had to buy for the turquoise in the cover graphics. Also another aluminum flashlight & eventually a Jesse doll from Toy Story 2 to complete the whole "Desi & Lucy twin beds" look!

bath.jpg

The bathroom shower curtain & valance feature photos of  porcelain cowboy & cowgirl figurines from around the 1950's. I also happen to have a collection of these types of dolls & had to have this shower curtain.
And what bathroom would be complete without a rubber ducky?? He'll be getting a cowboy hat soon tho!
