When we found the trailer it was under some large trees that sheltered it from the elements, mostly,
but also allowed algae to form along the sides & moss to grow in all of the window channels. The trees were unhelpful
in moving the trailer as it appeared the branches had grown closer as the years went by & caught the awning as we attempted
to move it, thus an observant eye will see a black bungee cord securing the awning in the "before" pictures.
The folowing pictures show the trailer in her condition just arriving home & otherwise untouched. This
24' Silver Streak was made with anodized aluminum.

The larger view of the back shows an excellent example of the moss.

Sept. 2, the awning repair is done & the original awning re-hung. We needed to have about a 3' width
of gray fabric replaced due to sun rot by a local tent/awning company where the awning attaches to the trailer. When
it is rolled up only the gray shows protecting the colored area from the elements. This is the only part of the
awning that is not original. I was able to clean the mildew off & return it to nearly new by scrubbing with straight
bleach. At the time this picture was taken I was still recovering from chemical burns to my knees & hands from the
bleach. I would not reccomend this without proper gloves etc.!

Just adding some finishing touches to the curtains with a little help from my companion Paka.
We call our Silver Streak "Our Happy Place"
Even spending time in the trailer in our yard is like being in another world,
certainly in another era!!
