My experiences with the Ouija board (pronounced wE-ja) are many...and they are topics of stories I am currently working on for Guardian Tales. But I will share this...THEY ARE NOT TOYS...niether is any type of communication device that you use for making contact with the beyond or the other dimension. There are numerous ways of divination to use, not just the Ouija, I will go into more detail on this subject next month.
Here a few facts about the Parker Brothers board I found on the net...(I will add some links at the bottom for you to investigate more thoroughly if you wish.)
The current version of the Ouija Board was first called the "Witch
Board." It was used to contact the dead and as a result the product
was a good seller. William Fuld bought the rights to the "Witch
Board" in 1892 and patented it. He renamed the "Witch Board" as
the "Ouija Board" because the board told him to do so. The
word "Ouija" comes from the French word for yes combined with the
German word for YES. I've also read that the name was chosen because it was after the Egyptian word for good luck.
In 1966 Parker Brothers bought the rights to the
Ouija Board and marketed it as a game. Rev. Donald Page, a well know
clairvoyant in the Christian Spiritualist Church is qouted as stating
that the Ouija Board is "one of the easiest and quickest ways to
become possessed....and I agree....
...just a few things that have happened in the past to myself and
using this particular tool (the Parker Brothers board), I too have
had a board for years that had been bent in half and thrown in the
trash only to find it on the kitchen table the next day apparantly
undamaged, I have the same board today, I also have another one, that I made myself out of glass. I've had the planchet numeorus times fly off the board and across the room in the past, have had candles that were burning around it blown out at the same time by a rush of wind, have had things making noises and things moving around while in the midst of using the board,(See the story of 'The Husbands Road House' on Guardian Tales under Jan's Tales to read of the events that happened while using the board there.) ...these are just to name a few....of course
I had to learn the hard way growing up, (many many moons ago...smile)that this was not a toy, this was for real, and if you buy this board for your children to play with it's like giving them a pile of weapons to try out...not safe at all people.
As San, from Guardian Tales said, it's like leaving the door open all night as an invitation for anything to come in. Some of you say, 'It's only a board, made of strong cardboard with some letters on it and a plastic heart shaped piece of plastic as your guide to glide upon the surface, how can it be a comunication device to the darkside of the spirit world?...but...I say to you...on the other hand...let's take a look at a world popular book, made with mere paper pages, that's words are older then dirt, (no pun intended) that millions of people use as a comunication device to a higher spirit world work in the same way? You know the one...it's called the Bible...
Same differnece...it's a tool to use to open up your world to it's
world. Be careful and understand which world you want to open
yourself up too....
More to come....stay tuned
Hannibal
