THESE FIRST REPORTS ARE ALL FROM THE SAME SMALL SUBURB AROUND PADUCAH
Paducah Kentucky
lies on the Western side of Kentucky in the heart of McCracken County, which is a part of the Jackson Purchase. Surrounded by the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers it is located only 25 miles from the historic Land Between
the Lakes. Sightings of Bigfoot have been happening as of late, in a small undisclosed suburb of Paducah,
with the Clarks River running through part of its acreage. Adjacent
the length of this river are beautiful bottomlands dominated by oaks, bald cypress and tupelo gum trees. An additional few yards up from the sloping banks you will spy red oaks and willow oaks, along with sweet
gum, sycamore, elm and ash trees. A large majority of land surrounding several
sections of the Clarks River was turned into National Wildlife Refuges. The region
supports and protects a wide variety of waterfowl, migratory birds, and forest wildlife including species of water mammals. But
new sightings suggest that something else lurks along its banks. Something that dodges in and out of the swamp willows
and swims with the cottonmouths and water moccasins; a creature that likes to stay as hidden as all the Native American artifacts
that are still buried in the mud from encampments before the settlers came. A bulky matted shaggy ogre has been spotted
living among a section of the river in a small suburb of Paducah and has been stirring things up for a few years
now in this rather quiet reserved part of the town.

(All the following sightings occurred in the same vicinity of a suburb in Paducah Kentucky.)
FIRST REPORTED SIGHTING: 2002,
The original two witnesses’, a father and son, (Whom were interviewed over the phone
to protect their true identities even from facial recognition.) where out in a particular area (Original location
withheld for security and tress passing reasons.) target practicing with BB Guns.
It was an early autumn afternoon, they recalled and they had walked over 15-minutes on foot to reach a small clearing
of indigenous weeds and brush that was positioned about 50 yards away from a large thicket of trees. They played around for
a while then sat down on a large fallen tree to just have some ‘father-son talks’.
After about 25 minutes of quietly talking back and forth, they heard the distinct sound of something walking through
the leaves from a nearby grove of trees. In anticipation of viewing what
they contemplated would be a few deer; they both crouched down on the ground beside the stump that was surrounded by an overgrowth
of meadow grass. The darkened wooded area had been behind them and the ‘animals’
were walking towards the river in a parallel motion from where they were hunkered down.
In hushed silence they waited for the animals to approach a relatively thinner clearing of trees ahead of their path
mainly due to the different species of growth; the closer to the banks of the river the types of foliage that grew changed
to the habitat of the soil condition, and in this case there were some overgrown swamp willows. The father recalls at the time how he thought it out of the ordinary that the deer made such a clamor traveling
through the woods as they are usually more suppressed and cautious with their movements.
He also inaudibly deliberated that it could actually just be a couple of people coming up through the wooded area from
a hike or going to the river to fish. For a short-lived moment he decided just
that and almost arose from the behind the log when the darkened figure of what appeared at first like a very large man started
to become visible through the multicolored leaves and scraggly branches. That decision was brief when the astonishing image
became more and more visible to both he and his son. Both repeated that their eyes had grown wide, their mouths had dropped
open in stunned silence and they could hear their own heartbeats in their ears. Alarm
as well as exhilaration had taken over their ordinary senses while in silent scrutiny they monitored the creature as it made
its way through a carpet of fresh fallen leaves, apparently unmindful to the pair of humans watching it.
The creature was tall
in stature, well beyond six foot but not much taller then seven, and had a thick chest with broad shoulders to match. The arms where longer then a good-sized mans would be and swung wide while it marched
through the trees. Its stride was drawn out also, which matched its lengthy cumbersome
legs. It was covered with a long shaggy coat of hair, black in color and matted
with mud, twigs and leaves. The texture of the hair almost appeared like a ‘washed
out perm that hasn't been brushed’ replied the dad, similar to the way his wife’s does after several months of
the initial procedure; frazzled, slightly wavy and wildly sticking out in all directions.
The son commented that the creature at first reminded him of ‘a combat soldiers wearing three dimensional camouflage
clothing’. This image made it believable that it could lay down flat
on the ground or squat and blend in with his environment perfectly.
They both continued
watching it as it deliberately marched towards the river. The facial features
they said were not clearly visible from where they were hiding nor could they see any sexual point of references. The ‘ogre’, as the boy put it, continued downward towards the shoreline and disappeared
from sight. Neither moved as they could still hear it continue its premeditated
walking until they heard a tremendous splash. That’s when they cautiously
arose and walked the distance to the top of the embankment and looked down. The
animal appeared to be walking upright in the water towards the other side, with the water line above its chest and its arms
spread out to the sides on top for balance and to control its movements. Even
though the river at this particular bend is not as wide as most of its course, the currents are still strong and the undertow
most threatening nearly all of the time. All the locals know to respect this
river no matter where it winds and curves, as it is deceptive even when there is no above current swirls showing themselves. Many have lost their lives in those waters by trying to cross on foot (when the water
is low), swimming, or getting a little too far out while fishing from the banks.
And so with this mentioned the two witnesses expected the creature to be pulled sideways or under by the swift water,
but that was not the case. It made its way using obvious amazing strength to
the other side with no problems and when both feet where on the other bank it shook itself several times like a wet dog would
do to expel the river from its body. Without hesitation, the ‘ogre’
continued its trek onwards through the arrangement of trees and disappeared.

SECOND SIGHTING: JANUARY 2003
This next interview was stern and short, and the gentleman did not want to be mentioned by name. It was held in a parking lot of a local grocery store for a meet up point because he actually did not want
me to know where he lived. His demeanor was serious and a bit shaken as he related
the brief account and I had no reason to doubt his story or character. This witness is hard of hearing, and in his middle
60’s, and was given no apparent clue that he was being watched; no tell tale sounds of rustling leaves, snapping branches,
etc… He said, he had gone back on his own property that is moderately close
to the particular area mentioned above to gather up some downed branches to use for kindling in his fireplace. He was merely bending over every now and then, collecting limbs in his arms and then taking them to a nearby
wheelbarrow for easier transport back to the house. He said he got inside
the tree line away from his backyard about 20 feet or so and looked up to see not one but two of the Bigfoot type creatures
standing about 30 yards away watching him. He remembers dropping the load of branches from his arms and was especially fearful
to move at first. The two creatures were of different heights and statures, as
if one was an adult and the other much younger. The largest was about 7 feet
tall while the smaller was around 5 feet. Both of them had matching black disheveled
hair that was entangled with forest debris, wide shoulders, and a head that seemed to blend in with the body like it had little
or no neck. The faces were as dark as their coat and had ‘monkey like features’,
recalled the witness. The man said he managed to step back several feet away
from their direction and that is when they merely turned slowly and walked away as if not concerned with his presence at all. He has never seen them since, nor had spoke about it until a friend of mine made the
initial contact with him for an interview; which he granted as long as his privacy was respected.

THIRD SIGHTING: JANUARY 2005
The description of this next sighting took place in January of 2005. Two local
teenagers, where out close to the area mentioned above, on four wheelers traveling the snowy banks of the Clarks River. The rivers water level had lowered slightly and left some ‘great places to go
mudding’ along its shoreline. They maneuvered their machines through
the mucky banks then alternated between going up and then back down around groupings of trees.
They were oblivious to anything around them except for just having some fun and seeing who could get the most mud all
over the ATV’s as well as themselves. According to both of their testimonies,
they hadn’t been traveling beside the river for more then 5 minutes when on the opposite shore Tom spotted something
up ahead leaning over the waters edge. He was ahead of his friend so he slowed and pointed at the same time in the
direction of the ‘animal’. They brought their vehicles to a complete stop to watch the creature from about 50
yards away. At first they both agreed it came across as looking like
a large black bear bending down to get a drink of water. It seemed unmindful
of the boys on their noisy contraptions and continued to cup water in both its ‘paws’ to bring it to its mouth. The boys realized with this new movement that this was not a bear as the arms and
paws were articulated like that of a human, and that the ‘paws’ were actually hands; very hairy hands that corresponded
with the rest of its body mass. It then leaned back on its haunches and glanced
in their direction, turning its head to face them. Even though it was mid to
late afternoon at the time of this sighting, the sun had been hidden behind some thick winter clouds, so exact particulars
of the animals portrayal could not be discerned. Through the strewn shadows from
the trees there was however just enough light to clearly visualize its size and girth as it quickly stood up on two legs. They both agreed that it was no taller then 6-foot, and its overall dimensions were
larger then that of a normal size man, but, they added that the hair could have played an important element in their judgment
of the abnormal proportions. They said that it did not linger for more then a
few seconds before it turned and scampered up the embankment on two legs then took an abrupt left away from their direction
through the trees. Their bemused exhilaration did not stop there as the animal
then after traveling a few yards, leaned over and scuttled away on all four of its limbs, like an ape would, at a high rate
of speed.

FOURTH SIGHTING: MARCH 2005
Cory T. and another teenage boy where in the same area out walking looking for deer tracks one
weekend morning when they discovered something abnormal about the way the air smelled.
Cory recalled that it was similar to the rotting carcass of a deer mixed with a ‘dirty wet dog’ odor. Both boys gagged several times and had to stop their cavorting to regain their composure
as the stench made them nauseous. Almost immediately after pausing they heard
something running through the woods nearby, which at first they thought was a startled deer. Looking up from their bent over
positions of involuntary retching, they both witnessed a creature around 6 foot tall, covered from head to toe in shaggy black
hair, running away from their direction towards the river. Cory remembers the
arms swinging back and forth rather rapidly, as a professional sprinter would do in a foot race. There was no eye contact
as all they saw was the back of the animal running away on two legs. Both boys
engaged in their own foot race back to the security of the main road and were in fearful shock over the sighting.
Cory's brother went back to the same location with another friend to try and spot this alleged
‘Bigfoot’ himself. His intention was to come back to compose fun
of Cory’s story but he himself saw something that wasn’t quite right. On
several of the trees along the banks they discovered scratch marks reaching in the upward regions of 7 to 8 feet from the
base of the trees. One particular tree had the marks above the 8-foot range. They described them as having the shape of ‘claw marks’ that raked the
bark from the surface and left gouges in the flesh of the trees. The brother being
an avid deer hunter knew that the antler rack from a deer, that usually leave ‘scrapings’ along the barks of trees
in their territories, did not create them. He described them as having the pattern
of a bobcat scratch but much wider apart and longer. Two torrid questions arose
from this discovery, and they were ‘Why were they up so high?’ and ‘What animal had made them?’ Unsurprisingly, he could not essentially poke fun at his brother’s story
and was left with an eerie feeling about the whole adventure. A few weeks later, a fisherman
came forth with his testimony from the same area and said he saw the same type creature that Cory had described above, running
along the banks of the river away from him and another buddy that had gone down there to do some fishing.

FIFTH
SIGHTING: APRIL 17, 2007
I got a call at 10:35 PM on this night from a witness that
had an up close encounter with the Bigfoot in the same suburb on a two land road. He called within 25
minutes from the time of the encounter. He was traveling down a side road in Reidland, and he saw what at first
he thought was a bear up on two legs on the right hand side, in his headlights getting ready to cross the road in front
of him. He said he had to slam on his brakes to keep from hitting the creature and stopped within 4 to 5 feet
of hitting the animal. Witness was in a Toyota RAV-4 and had to lean forward towards the windshield over the
steering wheel to look up at its face. Creature stood about 8 foot tall, massive body girth, dark brown, damp
looking hair that was kinked up a bit like a Sheepdog. Witness said it had a cone shaped head that was rounded
at the top, gorilla facial features with a wide thick nose, and its eyes were close to the size of half dollars.
The hair was shorter around the face, and he said there were two thick teeth protrusions like canines coming from out
of upper lip resting on lower lip. He said the creature stared at him the whole time while crossing the road and it
only took 2 and a half strides to cross the two lanes before reaching other side. Animal was in no hurry,
and wasn't alarmed at the screeching tires, and only turned his head away from witness when it reached the
other side. The man said the arms hung down almost to its knees which were almost even with the top of the hood of the
car. On the back of the creature the hair looked flattened and was tangled with leaves-as if it had been laying down
previously and recently. Palms and soles of feet where black. Feet were twice the length and width of
my son's, witness said who knows him personally, and my son wears a size 16 shoe.( He was going to call the police but after
telling his family first upon returning home and being ridiculed he decided against it and called me instead.)
He stated in the end that the windows to the vehicle were up but after the Bigfoot passed the distinct odor
of stagnant- nauseating pond water mixed with a wet dog hair smell came in through the vents.
...............................................
Out of the details from the stories above
we can assume that there may even possibly be a family of these Bigfoot living in the area, as one witness stated seeing two
at the same time and of different heights and stature. Could it have possibly
been a father and son twosome? And another thought has been vigorously
engaging my brain while writing this all up; had the shorter and more then likely younger ‘ogre’ been curious
enough over the teenage boys regular antics that he would sneak off from his own family to engage in secret observations? What do you think was going through the animals mind while he was furtively watching
those boys at times when they would be running around screaming and wrestling one another?
We can only continue to speculate about the characteristics of this type of creature until there are some actually
captured and studied, and then that process will take years of scientific research and observational learning.

CREATURE SIGHTING IN 2005/DIFFERENT LOCATION SAME SUBURB
This sighting took place in a gravel pit close to the river.
It was around dusk, but still light outside.
Two witnesses saw from the length of around 2 football fields away,
an extremely large, (bigger then a polar bear) white hairy creature on the other
end of the
gravel pit coming from the trees.
It started out walking on all fours, had a slanted back, then stood up on two
legs and walked about
another 20 feet before it spotted the two men watching it. It had exceptionaly wide
shoulders and its front
legs actually looked like powerful arms when it was standing on its two legs. (Legs
bent like a humans; with knees, not like a dogs.)
They said it had pointed ears that laid back when it saw them and had a long snout
like a bear
would have. They said it snarled then turned around, walking briskly back
towards the tree before
going back down on all 4's as it reached the tree line again and then disappeared.
LBL SIGHTING/ 2006/LATE SPRING
Father and son where out boating, late afternoon in Kentucky Lake, around the Duncan
bay area. They
were about 100 yards from shore and they saw up ahead what appeared to be one of
the frequent black buoys in the Lake areas turned over on its side floating in the water. As they approached it they
realized it was moving towards shore and that it was not a buoy. It was a huge hairy creature, and compared to the length
of their boat was between 8 and 9 feet long, swimming towards the shoreline. As they quickly maneuvered around
it, the creature turned its head to look at them and they said it had bright red eyes and seemed irritated at their presence.
