Gloria Gaulke Swan

 

Gloria Gaulke Swan is a published author and illustrator who lived and worked in New York City and from her home in Oregon. Her first book, A DAY WITH MY PETS, can still be found and was reissued again as, WHERE IS MY SHOE?, it was also printed in two anthologies.

Gloria is also a fine artist in galleries, art shows and private commissions. Gloria's art is owned across the US, Hawaii, Australia and Europe. Her illustrations have been in the New York Society of Illustrators show. Her art is on permanent display in the Department of Agriculture building in Washington DC and in Portland, Oregon at the Washington Park Zoo.

Gloria attended Chouinard Art Institute (now, Cal Arts) in Los Angeles as an illustration major in the BFA program. She also has a BS degree in both general studies and art, plus an MAT in art education. Gloria has been a public school art teacher for twenty years.

She is now writing and illustrating children's books, doing both commercial and fine art. Below are her publications.
