Michael Wiggins is founder & director of GlobalAge.org - a free and on-line web based network resource that he established to help educate and inform Corporate America, their managers and employees, and various other diversity organizations, about current research and developments surrounding workplace issues of concern to Gays and Lesbians.

At the National level, since 2002, Michael has played an increasing role in each and every Out & Equal Workplace Summit.  Since 2004, he has served on the Board of Directors for the National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals Inc.  At both the State and Local levels, since 2001, Michael has served on the Board of Directors for the Human Rights League Political Action Committee, a Wisconsin based organization dedicated to promoting LGBT civil rights and equality.

In 2003, Michael co-chaired the Corporate Sponsorship committee for the 13th Annual Out & Equal Conference, the nationwide LGBT workplace issues and civil rights organization.  In the autumn of 2004 alone, he participated in the 14th Annual Out & Equal Conference in Phoenix, the 19th National PFLAG Conference in Salt Lake City and the 17th Annual Creating Change Conference in St Louis.

Not your typical Gay Activist, Michael holds a B.S. degree in Applied Physics and Mathematics, with special emphasis in analytic Chemistry, an M.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering, and an MBA in strategic management, graduating in the top of his classes and receiving the highest possible honors along the way.   After earning his MBA, he took a one year sabbatical to do something completely different - teaching autistic children using behavior modification techniques.

During his 5 year tenure at GE, in addition to initiating, driving and leading their grass-roots LGBT Affinity Group efforts across multiple businesses, Michael was responsible for the production of and improvements to the scintillating material used in all of GE’s CT Scanners.  Michael has taught Six Sigma methodology and developed needed statistical analysis training materials for non-normal data which are currently used across GE, worldwide.  He is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt for process improvement.

Following his passion for LGBT civil rights issues, Michael, who recently left General Electric, is focusing his energies on expanding and furthering the efforts of his group GlobalAge.org and its affiliates.  Michael is a free-lance expert in LGBT Diversity / Inclusion Efforts and Statistical Data Analysis for Technical / Financial Process Improvements.

Michael, although a Milwaukee native, is tri-lingual and worked for amost a decade in Europe.  His employment and travels have taken him around the world, including most of Europe, the Caribbean, Egypt, Jordan, Kenya, China and Tibet.  He especially enjoys the diversity of the varied peoples and their cultures.  He enjoys landscaping and has a large and beautiful backyard oriental-style garden with good feng shui!
