Description:
The nation's employers,
representing all industry's and types is about to experience a workforce shortage as baby boomers begin to retire. By 2010,
a 10 million worker-shortage across all employment categories is estimated. The shortage is expected to last 12-20 years.
At Cafe 9, we are going
to push the boundaries of creating a more inclusive workforce, broadening the potential talent pool interested in living their
professional lives in Milwaukee. More specifically, the emphasis will be on employing
the talent pool reflected in people with disabilities and the gay and lesbian community.
There will be 3 rounds of conversation,
one specifically to discuss people with disabilities, and another on the gay and lesbian workforce and the third, a combination
of both.
