"gantamps"
is a site of vintage guitar amplifiers and keyboards. These
span a period of 30 years and have all played a part in the
metamorphosis of amplified music. My collection consists of
both tube and transistor models. These are amps I grew up
with, either using at one stage of my career or dreaming of
owning. In my early teens, I had every musical instrument
catalog I could get my hands on and knew most brands specs
long before I owned any. I remember going to Jenkins Music
in Oklahoma City as a child and seeing these models on
display. Their collection mainly consisted of Fender, Vox,
and Kustom. Each brand lined a different wall of the display
room. I went from amp to amp twisting knobs and listening to
how they to sounded. I finally got enough nerve to play with
the Combo organs and knew I had found my calling! This is
what started my career in music. I started collecting these
while on tour with Garth Brooks as his keyboard player.
1996' thru 98' we played multiple dates in large markets.
This gave me time to find pawnshops and music stores. I live
in the Nashville area, another great market to find unique
gear. It's a fun hobby and hope you have as much fun looking
as I do collecting!

Finally,
I've had a chance to update my site. The weather was nice, I
had the time, so I moved the collection out to the driveway!
I decided to change the site name to match my email. I
eventually hope to start an Internet amp shop and "gantamps"
will be the name. Stay tuned for more picture
updates!

It's been awhile since I've played
with this site, sorry! 2 kids, day job, wife in management,
have all made time a premium! I've added several more amps
and am working on a Vintage Amp calendar! It will be
