The Center at Orchard Hill
For
the past several years, we have been developing a permanent home on a
mountaintop near Millerstown, PA. Thanks to the vision of Gary and Jean
Miller of New Cumberland, PA. Our site looks-out upon a broad
vista that includes the approaches to Selinsgrove, PA, some forty miles
away. Surrounded by more than two hundred acres of woodland, it
is hard to imagine that PA Route 22-322, is scarcely two miles
away. Road noise disappears and one can see the hawks riding on
the thermals. It is a truly beautiful place—a space for
grace.
When completed, Orchard Hill will include—in addition to the
picnic pavilion, labyrinth and hiking trails already completed—an
all-weather adult retreat facility, already under construction.
It will include four double-occupancy bedrooms, two with private
bath and two with a semi-private bath; two single bedrooms with a
semi-private bath; a kitchen-dining room; a great room; and a
handicapped-accessible bathroom. A propane-fired generator will
run the utilities.
