On Saturday, April 19, twelve youth from Lake Neepaulin labeled 40 storm
drains leading to the lake with the statement, "No Dumping - Drains to Lake." This project was conducted in conjunction
with Earth Day on April 22. It is the first of several storm drain labeling
sessions to be conducted by Lake Neepaulin youth during the coming months. The project was organized and sponsored by
the Friends of Lake Neepaulin and the Walkill River Watershed Management Group. The photos below capture the essence of the
project. In the first photo, Jennifer Gately (on right with hat), Walkill River Watershed Ambassador, instructs the
participants on the labeling process. Photo 2 depicts the group in action, while the third photo shows the finished
product along with participants in background.
